Nearly 60 years ago, a determined group of parents, who not only understood, but valued, the potential that lie within their children, began what is now Pioneer Center for Human Services. Pioneer Center offers intellectual and developmental disability services, homeless services (including PADS), and youth/family services.

Living Waters for the World, a PC(USA) ministry, trains and equips mission teams to share the gift of sustainable clean water with communities in need. Over the last 20 years, more than 900 clean-water systems have been installed in communities around the world. A team from Ridgefield-Crystal Lake Presbyterian Church has been trained to manage a project, provide health education to community trainers, and teach local water managers how to install and operate a water purification system. Donations will assist the team with their next project in Guatemala.

Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA of McHenry County)
Every day, abused and neglected children in our community are placed into temporary foster care because their parents cannot - or will not - take care of them. CASA of McHenry County gives these children a voice in court so they can grow up in safe, permanent homes where they can thrive. CASA of McHenry County, founded in 2005, has provided a voice for more than 450 children with the dedication nearly 200 trained volunteer advocates who make a life-long difference, one child at a time.
